Market surveillance authority
To implement the Accessibility Enhancement Act, the federal states have agreed to establish a joint market surveillance authority. The basis for this is a state treaty that provides for the establishment of a central office based in Saxony-Anhalt.
The authority – provisionally named the ‘Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services’ – will be responsible for monitoring accessible products and services in future.
